I Carry Us was a ten week project that involved creating a concept and working alongside a professor to strategize the different milestones of painting. The dimensions are 48" by 60" with acrylic paint making up the underpainting and preliminary layers and oil paints on top.
This painting is inspired by the Greek myth of Icarus and Daedelus as well as influenced by the short story The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas by Ursula LeGuin.
